To say we have been pleased with Gunny's show career would indeed be an understatement. We were extremely proud and pleased when Gunny was awarded Best In Show in 2004 by esteemed judge Michael Hill. This is an amazing accomplishment for a young Manchester Terrier bitch and we were especially pleased that it was a breeder/owner handled win. What made this win even more special was that Gunny got her BIS at the same show her mother did 2 years earlier!
Gunny was awarded Best of Variety at the prestigious Westminister Kennel Club in 2005. This was only her second trip into the US (she earned her American championship on the first trip). Special thanks to Amanda Kelly for showing Gunny for us at the Garden.
Gunny was awarded Best of Breed at the first Canadian Manchester Terrier Club National Specialty held in Saint John, NB on August 20, 2004. Many thanks to judge Cheryl Meyers Egerton for rewarding our special girl with this honour. Again, many thanks to our good friend Amanda Kelly for doing such a great job presenting Gunny for us.
Gunny is a very special dog to us, not only because of her performance in the show ring, but also because she is such a wonderful dog to live with. She also had much success in the whelping box and has produced some fantastic puppies that have carried on her legacy.
